The Girls Day STEM Fest is meant to inspire girls to pursue STEM by providing them fun and challenging activities to engage in together. This event will facilitate an environment of teamwork and the opportunity to gain insight on real applications of STEM and their practices. The hope is that the participating girls will see STEM in a new light that will spur them to enjoy challenges and motivate them to become innovative women of their time. This event will be lead by all women in STEM, and will be lead in partnership with George Mason’s National Society of Black Engineers and George Mason’s Women of Color in STEM.

Late pick up fee: If your student is not picked up by 5:00pm there will be a flat $10 fee paid at the time of pick up. Walkers and bikers must have permission from parents before the event to walk or bike home.

STEM exCEL Enrichment Center does not offer additional Extended Care before 8:45am or after 5:00pm.

Supplies:
Students must bring lunch and snacks to the event–please no nuts of any kind. We will not give out any food/drinks due to allergy restrictions.
• Lunch in a cooler
• Snacks for lunch or break time (NO PEANUT BUTTER)
• Water bottle
• Label all items
Do NOT bring electronics, cash or any other objects that could be lost or go missing. It is not the responsibility of STEM exCEL if this happens.
