Jun 16-20 (no class Jun 19) – 3D Printing & Robotics

In this exciting week-long 3D Printing & Robotics Camp, students will dive into both 3D printing and robotics technologies. Students will learn to create 3D models combining artistic vision with engineering principles, while understanding crucial design considerations for optimal printing results. They’ll observe 3D printers in action and create multiple models that they’ll take home as finished prints. Additionally, students will explore robotics using Lego Mindstorms EV3, learning to design, build, and program their own robots. They’ll apply engineering concepts and sensor programming to solve various challenges, gaining valuable experience that can serve as a foundation for future participation in robotics competitions like First Lego League. Students leave the camp with their own 3D modeling account for continued creation at home, printed models of their designs, and hands-on experience in both technologies.

Jun 23-27 – Cyber Media & Minecraft

In this inspirational week-long camp, students will explore the world of storywriting and Minecraft world creation. Students will be challenged to create their own video game story, from modeling the world and characters in it to imagining the storyline and rules of the world. They will further explore the world of online advertisement, dive into the basics of economics, and will go home with their created world and a starring role in a mock-podcast. After that they will dive into the world of Minecraft to make their world come alive in the Minecraft world. With supplemented lessons to help them better create their world through the various Minecraft commands, they will learn the basics of coding. There will be focused writing lessons during this camp.  Students will leave the camp with their own created story world, a recording of a mock podcast where they will be interviewed about their creation, and their own Minecraft World.

Jul 7-11 – 3D Printing & Minecraft

In this engaging week-long 3D Printing & Minecraft Programming Camp, students will explore both 3D printing technology and Minecraft programming. Students will learn to create 3D models combining artistic vision with engineering principles, while understanding crucial design considerations for optimal printing results. They’ll observe 3D printers in action and create multiple models that they’ll take home as finished prints. In the Minecraft portion, students will learn programming fundamentals using command blocks and Redstone to build spectacular projects with programming logic. This serves as an excellent introduction to understanding real circuitry, electronics, and electrical theory. Students will design and implement large-scale Minecraft creations like elevators and rollercoasters while learning how computers process commands. Students leave the camp with their own 3D modeling account for continued creation at home, printed models of their designs, and their Minecraft Redstone projects.

Jul 21-25 -3D Printing & Gamer Adventures

In this engaging week-long 3D Printing & Gamer Adventures camp, students will explore both 3D printing technology and game design fundamentals. Students will learn to create 3D models combining artistic vision with engineering principles, while understanding crucial design considerations for optimal printing results. They’ll observe 3D printers in action and create multiple models that they’ll take home as finished prints. In the game design portion, students will learn to build their own games from the ground up using a professional game engine, while learning 2D game art and programming logic through an easy-to-use events system suitable for all skill levels. Students leave the camp with their own 3D modeling account for continued creation at home, printed models of their designs, and their own playable computer game that showcases their creative vision.

Jul 28-Aug 1 – Roblox Game Design & Computer Science

In this comprehensive week-long Roblox Game Design & Computer Science Camp, students will master game design through Roblox Studio while building a strong foundation in computer science concepts. Students will learn 3D modeling and programming logic to create immersive worlds similar to their favorite Roblox games, exploring level design, 3D art, and animation. The course begins with hands-on activities teaching vital programming concepts like functions, variables, and conditionals through an easy drag-and-drop interface, making it accessible for all skill levels. Students will apply these skills to create programs, solve problems, and develop games under the guidance of experienced instructors. By the end of the camp, students will have created their own playable 3D Roblox game that they can share online, along with fundamental programming knowledge that serves as a strong foundation for future technology learning.

Aug 4-8 – Robotics & Electronics with Minecraft Redstone

In this exciting week-long Robotics and Electronics with Minecraft Redstone Camp, students will explore both robotics and electronics through hands-on projects. Using Lego Mindstorms EV3, students will learn to design, build, and program robots while applying engineering concepts and advanced sensor programming to solve various challenges. This experience provides excellent preparation for those interested in robotics competitions like First Lego League. The electronics portion utilizes Minecraft’s Redstone system as a virtual electronics lab, allowing students to build and understand electrical circuits and basic computer components. Students will create spectacular projects like automated systems and logic gates, gaining practical knowledge of how computers process commands. By the end of camp, students will take home their completed robot designs and Minecraft Redstone creations, along with a solid foundation in both robotics and electronics principles.

Aug 11-15 – 3D Printing & Comic Book Illustration

In this creative week-long 3D Printing & Comic Book Illustration Camp, students will explore both 3D printing technology and comic book illustration. Students will learn to create 3D models combining artistic vision with engineering principles, while understanding crucial design considerations for optimal printing results. They’ll observe 3D printers in action and create multiple models that they’ll take home as finished prints. In the comic book portion, students will develop their artistic skills through character development, storyboarding, paneling, and color theory. Using both traditional and digital art techniques, students will craft their own comic stories while learning industry-standard composition concepts. Students leave the camp with their own 3D modeling account for continued creation at home, printed models of their designs, and their very own comic book showcasing their artistic journey.
